Saw this truck at the Bass Pro Shop in Daphne, Alabama .
The pick-up truck driver is a local taxidermist with a great sense of humor. And it's not a dog, it's a coyote. Can you imagine how many people try to stop this guy?

Why you should carry a gun when fishing in alaska. This photo is from Bill Drake. The incident happened very near his new fishing lodge on the Kenai River. A lot of us from the lower 48 have fished in the Alaskan wilderness with out carrying a gun...perhaps we should rethink that strategy!

This sturgeon was caught on the Willamette River just below Oregon City in mid-February 2009. It weighed over 1,000 lbs and measured 11’1”.
It was 56” around the girth and took over 6 and a half hours and 4 dozen beers for the 4 guys, taking turns, to reel it in. Any sturgeon OVER 5 feet or so has to be released unharmed and cannot be removed from the water. They are brood/breeding stock (and this one is probably older than most of us!

Deer hunts hunter, but loses the duel...
Hunter vs. deer: Scott Webb, 41, of Ecru had a deer hunt to remember recently when he came face to face with an agitated seven-point buck. Curtis, who was hunting near Water Valley, says he was "attacked" by the buck while standing alongside a field. "He came straight at me before I knew what was going on," said Curtis, a stay-at-home dad with four children. "I tried to get my rifle up but it was on safety, and I just didn't have time before he was on me."
The deer was apparently enticed by the scent Webb was using (Tink's 69 Doe in Rut Buck Lure), according to Chad Dacus, deer program coordinator for the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. Read more...

Urban deer poacher pleads guilty but the Judge dismisses the case due to lack of facts...
Where there are urban deer, there is deer poaching. That's true even if the deer is standing along the shoulder of one of the Twin Cities' busiest freeway intersections.
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources officers say the Nov. 6 shooting of a 15-point trophy buck with a crossbow just a stone's throw from morning traffic highlights a growing problem: Deer are being shot illegally in urbanized areas, often dangerously, right under the public's nose.
The case involving Robert Mereness, 59, gets more bizarre. The Little Canada man told a DNR officer he shot the deer and pleaded guilty on Christmas Eve before Ramsey County District Judge Michael Fetsch.
But Fetsch dismissed the charges for lack of facts and wished Mereness a "Merry Christmas," said attorney Kevin Beck, who prosecuted the case for the city of Little Canada. Read the full story here.
